Happy New Year!!

Another year is Here! I am going to try and blog more regularly, our monthy team blog hop has helped in this area so now its up to me to build on it. So here is my first real post of the year. (the Blog hop last week was scheduled so all the work as done in December) 


A sister Close to my Heart consultant Terry Ann posted an awesome tip she found on Follow the Paper Trail.

It really caught my eye "No Plug Glue Topper for paper crafting!!"

How many times have we had to stop working on a project to unplug a bottle of glue so that we can use it?

First I have to say my 10 yr old son and husband thought I was totally nuts. Hubby said "umm why are we buying baby bottle nipples the Girl has never taken a bottle?"

I tried it and I LOVE!!! it works really well. I now have these no plug toppers on my Liquid Glass, a quick dry adhesive, and a 3-in-1 glue it works on ALL of them.

 

 

these 3 glues all have different thickness but as you can see it works for all of them.

 

I'm sure it won't be long before I have more of these wonderful toppers!

The last couple months I have done cards, because I left it too late and cards can be quick and easy. My goal for this month was to do some scrapbooking!! I printed the pictures I wanted to use, and took them and my Heartstrings paper pack to a crop and WOW the colours were perfect!!

 

Here is what I did with this Beautiful paper pack and some coordinating embellishments.

Here is what I came up with this month.

I made 2 simple cards using Snowhaven and CTMH's Art Philosophy cricut cartridge. (cartridges are on sale for cyber Monday, Today, Dec 1 only!!!see below for details!)

Here is a close up of the snowflake, it is 2 layers (I offset them just slightly to create more dimension)

I really like the simplicity of these cards it would be easy to create multiple cards in a short time.  Here are the supplies I used to make this card:

Here is my card for this month. I had fun creating this card! I just love these little guys!

To create this 5 x7 card I first stamped the words on the Sunset card base using Sunset ink. I used the scallop border punch on the Thistle cardstock. I coloured these cute little guys with my copics. I used the top strip from the paper (the "EEK", can I say that I love that CTMH does this now! don't want to waste paper and they add an easy little embellishment to pages and cards)

I also used:

•  Frightfully Fun stamp set (B1453)
•  Silver Shimmer tape (Z1799)
•  black resin stars from the Scaredy Cat Assortment (Z3011)
•  scallop border punch (Z1851)
• Copic Markers

Hello Everyone!  Welcome back!

I know it has been a while. I am excited to tell you that I am going to try something new. I hope this adventure will get me back to blogging and crafting more frequently. Which I hope will help me with my CTMH business!! I am participating in my first blog hop on October 1!!

Wow! Can Blogs collect dust? If so I have some major dusting to do . . .

Well what's new with me?

Since my last post:

•  I lost over 100 pounds
• Got Pregnant!
• Had a beautiful Baby Girl in 2012
• Went to DISNEYLAND
• Rediscovered my scrapbook passion/ obsession/ collection!
• Rediscovered Close to My Heart

 and probably much much more but lets not dwell in the past.

Right now in my life I am struggling with a decision of whether or not to go back to work. I am loving being at home and just being Mom to my 2 wonderful children.(ages 16 months and almost 10yrs).

I am looking into other ways to contribute to our family income. Ideally i'd like to find something that I can do that uses some of the creative skills I have developed over the years. (Scrapbooking, Colouring with Copic Markers,Card making!)

So Bear with my as I work through what I want to do.
